Blood Chip

While at the Wyss Institute, the Blood chip project's primary goal was to create a biosensor that can detect the rate of blood vessel coagulation. While I was working on the project, microfabricated PDMS chips were being used to simulate the environment of a blood vessel and were analyzed at the microscopic level using a BioTek gen 5 3.10 microscope. During this project, I drafted up a protocol for the blood vessel simulation. Additionally, I designed a custom platform for the PDMS chips which would allow them to fit into the microscope correctly, resulting in more adjustability and stability. I also designed plugs for the PDMS chips that allowed necessary fluid to be plugged into the chips.
